If you have every seen the damage that can be caused by a blowout on one or more of your trailer tires, you will make a tire pressure monitoring system one of the first additions to your trailer. Knowing exactly what is going on with your tires, both pressure and temperature is essential to towing safety! Almost all cars have it as a standard feature, so why not your trailer? Only makes sense right?

As the truck has a TPMS built in, the ultimate goal will be to integrate the trailer tires into the truck system, but for now we are running the TST 507 four tire monitoring system that we have used on our past trailers. It works fine, has some glitches, but it does the job letting us know what is going on with those trailer tires that you can't see or feel. As mentioned above, if you do not have a TPMS, we would HIGHLY advise you get one BEFORE your next trip! You can never estimate the value of safety when towing a trailer, especially one with all your possessions in it!

As soon as we replace the stock tires on the trailer, we will install new sensors inside the rims of the trailer tires so that the stock Chevy system will monitor and show all four tires! When that happens we will update this site to let everyone know the what and how's to making that happen. We are expecting to do that prior to leaving on our 2026/2027 fall-winter-spring trip around the USA.
